# Loyalty installation

> Set up Bonde's loyalty and rewards features.

Bonde's loyalty system helps you retain customers and drive repeat purchases with store credit rewards and referral programs.

## What's included

* **Rewards programs**: Issue store credit when customers take specific actions
* **Referral program**: Reward customers for bringing in new customers
* **Customer widgets**: Display rewards balance and referral links on your storefront

## Requirements

To use loyalty features, your Shopify plan must support:

* **Store credit**: Available on Shopify Plus and some other plans
* **Customer accounts**: Customers must be logged in to earn and use rewards

## Installation steps

  <Step title="Enable the app embed">
    Go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize**, click **App Embeds**, and enable the **Bonde** app embed.

  <Step title="Create a rewards program">
    In the Bonde app, go to **Rewards > Programs** and create your first reward program. Start with a simple order reward like 5% back on purchases.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure referrals (optional)">
    Go to **Rewards > Referrals** to set up your referral program with rewards for both referrers and their friends.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add widgets to your theme">
    Add the **Bonde: Rewards Widget** and **Bonde: Referral Widget** to your customer account page.
  </Step>
