The customer accounts extension lets customers view their active subscriptions, skip deliveries, and pause or cancel their subscriptions. It integrates with Shopify’s new customer accounts.

Installation

Open checkout customization

Go to Settings > Checkout in your Shopify admin and click Customize.

Add the extension

Under the Apps tab, add Bonde: Customer Subscriptions.This is a full page extension that displays customer subscriptions and allows them to manage their subscriptions.

Add navigation link

To add a link to the subscriptions page in customer accounts:
  1. While still in the customizer, click the tab in the top middle and select a customer accounts page (e.g., “Order Status”)
  2. Click on the header section in the left sidebar
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the active menu
  4. Add a new link for “Subscriptions” and point it to the subscriptions page you added

Customer capabilities

Once installed, customers can:

Reducing churn

These self-service features help reduce churn by giving customers alternatives to cancelling:
  • Skip instead of cancel: A customer going on vacation can skip a delivery
  • Swap instead of cancel: A customer tired of one flavor can switch to another
  • Pause instead of cancel: A customer with too much product can pause until they catch up
  • Frequency change instead of cancel: A customer receiving too much can switch to a longer interval
